Cut celery into stalks, trim wilted leaves and root ends. Peel carrots and kohlrabi. Rinse vegetables, drain and cut into narrow strips.
Peel onions and cut into rings. Cut bacon into strips, fry quickly. Add minced meat and roast for another 3 minutes. Later add vegetable strips and onion rings and sauté for 2 min. Lightly mash tomatoes with a fork and pour over vegetables with tomato juice.
Season everything heartily with thyme, pepper, salt and rosemary and steam without lid for 7 to 8 min. Garnish carrot mince frying pan with fresh herbs. Serve with mashed potatoes.
