Cut the bread into slices and toast them for a few minutes in a 200 °C stove. Remove the peel from the garlic cloves and cut them in half. Rub the halved cloves heartily on the bread and drizzle with olive oil.
Cut the tomatoes in half, remove the liquid and seeds and finely dice. Finely chop the garlic cloves and basil leaves, add to the tomatoes and season to taste. Spread the tomato mixture evenly on the toasted bread. If necessary, drizzle again with olive oil and garnish with basil leaves.
