For the spice bread in the flower pot, first prepare the dampfl. To do this, dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk and mix with the sugar. Place the flour in a large bowl and make a well in the center. Pour the yeast-milk mixture into it, mix with a little flour and then cover the mixture very lightly with a little flour. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
In the meantime, peel and finely chop the onions. Mix with butter, eggs, spices and herbs and add everything to the risen dampfl. Knead into a dough and let it rise again for 15 minutes.
Butter the flower pots and dust with flour. Knead the dough well one last time, pour it into the flower pots and let it rise again. Brush the dough with milk and bake the spice bread in the flowerpot in the oven preheated to 180 degrees (convection oven) for 50 to 60 minutes.
