For the lard bread, put flour, salt and lard in the bowl of a food processor. Warm the water slightly and dissolve the yeast in it. Then add the yeast mixture to the flour.

Leave the food processor on speed 2 for about 10 minutes. Cover the bowl with a tea towel and let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.

Then divide the dough in half and form 2 loaves, place in a loaf pan, score the surface, cover the loaves and let rise again for about 45 minutes.

In the meantime, fill a baking tray with water, put it in the oven and preheat it to 210 degrees. Then place the loaves in the loaf pan on a rack.

Bake at 210 degrees for the first 15 minutes. Then reduce to 185 degrees and bake the loaves for another 45 minutes. Perform a knock test on the bottom of the bread, if it sounds hollow, it is done.

Then turn out the breads from the loaf pan and let them cool well on a cooling rack.
