Sift the flour into a suitable bowl, make a well and add the salt, egg and oil. Mix the ingredients well and then add the iced water, stirring continuously. Whip the egg whites to egg whites and gently fold into the batter. Keep in a cool place. This exceptionally light batter is particularly suitable as a frying batter for all kinds of fritters.
