Place bread slices on baking sheet, brown on both sides under broiler, drizzle with white wine.
Grate cheese on Bircher grater, mix in flour. Mix eggs up to and with pepper with cheese well, distribute quantity evenly on all bread slices, spread smoothly.
Bake: about ten minutes at top heat in the lower half of the oven heated to 250°C.
Serve preferably hot, perhaps with leaf salad.
Tips Toast bread. Bake oven-ready crouetes under broiler, monitor well.
