For braised peppers, preheat the oven to 250 °C. Wash the peppers, cut them in half and remove the skin. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the bell pepper halves on it, cut side down.

Place in oven for about 10-15 minutes until skin is completely black. Remove bell pepper halves from oven and let cool, covered with a damp kitchen towel.

Peel off the skin and cut the halves into strips. Peel, press or chop the garlic and mix with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, cayenne pepper, parsley, chives, dill and basil.

Marinate the bell pepper strips with it and let them soak overnight.
