For the apple elderberry puree for babies, wash the berries, let them drain properly and pluck them from the stems. Caution: the berries stain strongly!
Peel the apples, cut them into eighths and remove the core. Quickly sprinkle with the juice of a lemon so that they do not turn brown.
Put elderberries, apple pieces and apple juice in a saucepan, bring to a slow boil and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
The apple elderberry puree for babies makes about 20 baby servings.
Pour into sterile jars and put in steamer or water bath!
